Thank you
Dear John and all at SV650.org Just a little note to say a big thank you for remembering Kevin's girls, Hannah and Holly. It was extremely kind of all at the website. Kevin would have been so touched. He was always a good son and Dave and I are so very pleased you are thinking of him and of course proud too. Hannah and Holly were really chuffed with the spending money. Holly's cousin Edward had a 3/4 guitar for Christmas and Holly loves music, so she spent her gift from you all on a guitar like Edwards. So they are now having sessions. She is still learning the simple chords but she can't put it down, hope it keeps going. Hannah is still considering what to spend her money on. I read the SV site (well not all of it), it has grown and I was sorry to learn more members had been killed. I was deeply touched by the tribute to Kevin and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for still including it in the web in this way. Would you please post a very big thank you on the site for remembering the girls and Kevin in such a fine way. Again deepest thanks to you all and good wished to you and all at SV650.org Regards Margaret and Dave Jones. I received this thank you from Kevin's mother, Margaret just after Christmas. For those not in the know, it was suggested by Steve Nance that we should use some of the donation money raised to by a gift for Kevin's daughters. Kevin was the founder of this website and was sadly killed in 2003. See fallen friends and site admin for more information |

February I finally dragged the SV into the garage for the annual service and mod session. For the full story see 'Diary of a mk2 SV restorer' in the articles section. The 2006 rideout debate has well and truly started. Looks like my playground this year - Shropshire. See the forum section AR06 for information and I've also added a new button on the menu of the main site. The biggest news this month is the work behind the scenes to sort out the ongoing hosting problem. We are now running on two servers either side of the Atlantic. The main site and email service are hosted on the original server in the US, but now hosted at the owners own property. Donation money is being used to pay for the installation and ongoing charges for this service. The second server is being used for the forum and is being administered by forum member TSM. This approach allows us to not have all our eggs in one basket. We shouldn't now loose both the forum and the main site at the same time. A copy of the forum is also held on the original server, as a fallback should the UK server have a glitch or require downtime for maintenance. My thanks to TSM and Steve Nance for organising this and also to Jonboy for his assistance and guidance. Sorry this page is so thin this month but the mail box seems mainly full of spam.
